Instance management

Add voice server instance

  1. Log in to the TSI as Super Administrator with your access data.
  2. If you have not yet added an instance, you will be given the opportunity to do so directly after the login process using a corresponding form. (See the screenshot)
If no voice server instances have been added yet ...
  3. If you already have voice server instances, then click on the "Add instance" button in the dashboard at the top left in the navigation bar or, alternatively, on the "Add" button above the instance overview. A modal window will now open in which you can add a new voice server instance using a corresponding form. (See the screenshot)
If voice server instances already exist .. If voice server instances already exist ..
  4. The following fields are available in the respective forms:
    • Software Basis: Here you have to specify whether the voice server instance is Teamspeak 3 or TeaSpeak. This is important, among other things, because the range of functions and the query connection are sometimes different.
      • Can not be changed afterwards!
    • Host/Server: Here you have the option of entering the IP address of the voice server instance, alternatively you can also enter a domain or subdomain such as "". If you leave this field blank, "" will be used automatically.
    • Query Port: Here you have the option to specify an alternative query port. If you leave the field empty, the port "10011" is used for Teamspeak 3 and the port "10101" for TeaSpeak.
    • Label (Only in the modal window): Here you have the option of assigning any label with a maximum of 200 characters. This designation is then used in the overview instead of the IP address or domain.
    • Symbol: Here you have the option of assigning an individual symbol to the instance for better differentiation.
    • ATHP-Link (Only for Teamspeak 3): Here hosters have the opportunity to verify themselves with their individual ATHP link. This can later also be viewed by users in the status bar.
    • Encrypt query connection via SSL / TLS? (For TeaSpeak only): If this option is activated, the TSI only uses SSL / TLS for the query connection for communication with the voice server instance
    • Query Client:The username of the query client is required here, e.g. "serveradmin".
      • Even if we do not have any concerns about adding a voice server instance under the query client "serverdamin", we are forced to officially advise against it for reasons of liability due to possibly unpredictable security gaps (as is always the case with software). Instead, a custom query client should be created for this. For instructions, we refer to the respective documentation from Teamspeak or TeaSpeak.
    • Password: The password of the Query Client is required here.
      • The username and password are encrypted and stored in the database.
    • Icon import?: If this option is activated, the process can take a lot longer because all icons of the server are also imported.

  5. Before you press the "Add instance" button, please make sure that the IP address of the web space on which you operate the TSI is also entered in the whitelist of your voice server and that the query client has the property "b_client_ignore_antiflood", otherwise the connection will refuse.
  6. Now confirm your entries by clicking on the "Add instance" button and wait until the process is complete and automatic forwarding takes place.

Edit voice server instance

  1. To edit an existing voice server instance, click on the respective pencil symbol in the overview on the dashboard.
  2. A modal window opens again in which you can edit and save the configuration of the voice server instance using a corresponding form. (See the screenshot)
Click on the pencil symbol of an instance to edit it.
